About Alan Hawkins...

Alan was born in San Jose California but his family moved around a lot before settling in Albuquerque New Mexico. From The first grade through fifth Alan grew up in one of the richest “Lizard Catching” gold mines in the country! Much to his Mothers displeasure..

In the Eighties Alan’s Mom moved the family to Fresno California where one day a friend of his said “Hey! I need you to go with me to audition for a play; I don’t want to go by myself.” Well, even though neither was cast Alan had found his calling!

After High School he was made the resident Stage Manager of a local Repertory and occasionally did small parts on stage until a production of “The Foreigner” (Alan’s first comedic lead.)

In 1991 Alan had a Motor Cycle accident that required a good bit of plastic surgery. The next year he went bald... This made getting women to date him rather hard.

More plays fallowed and Alan went from Acting to Stage Managing again to Assistant Directing. Training under Dan Passano, Randall Stump and Elizabeth Feister. He did find a little time to go backpacking in Europe and also to learn web and print design.

In the fall of 2003 Alan was invited to become a part of Improver Behavior an improv troop comprised of Fresno State Theater students. And later moved on to audition for the Second City Conservatory. Now almost two years later he is part of three improv cast, performs twice a week at Second City LA and teaches improv to High School students with four other Conservatory Grads.
